Bräcker Introduces New STARLETplus Traveller at ITMA 2015
Traveller for Challenging Spinning Conditions


Bräcker is the specialist for key components for ring spinning machines. The company will introduce several innovative solutions at ITMA in Milan.

One of Bräcker’s important innovation is the STARLETplus traveller. Bräcker will introduce it at ITMA in Milan. In challenging conditions like high humidity or aggressive fibres, the STARLETplus offers additional benefits: The traveller service life can be prolonged by up to 50% and due to its improved coating, the new traveller shows a better resistance against corrosion. These advantages result in lower maintenance costs in the spinning mill. During the entire service life the yarn quality values remain constant. The STARLETplus is particularly recommended for viscose and CO/CV blends, dyed MMF fibres and special applications. The new traveller is suitable for the entire yarn count range.



Another innovation presented at ITMA is the BERKOL® supergrinder with integrated Berkolizing unit (UV-treatment) for automatic grinding of ring, roving and air spinning top rollers. The modular machine improves the grinding capacity compared to the previous version by more than 50%. The BERKOL® supergrinder has a grinding capacity of up to 350 top rollers per hour and offers a storage capacity of 450 top rollers with 32 mm diameter. At the same time, the power consumption has been reduced by 10%. The BERKOL® supergrinder has a touch panel for easy operation. The user interface is multi-lingual in German, English, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish.

Other products, which Bräcker will present at ITMA include TITAN and ORBIT spinning rings, PYRIT and ZIRKON travellers, cost saving maintenance tools, and the well-known range of BERKOL® cots and aprons. 

Innovations in Combers and Clothings

The company Graf, located in Rapperswil near Zurich, is the leading manufacturer of clothings for flat cards and roller cards. Graf will introduce several innovative solutions at ITMA in Milan.

The new HiTop flat allows higher production rates due to reduced carding strain in critical area of clothing. It is divided in three zones with progressive setting and stays noticeably cleaner. The new designed durelastic foundation results in an improved positioning of the flat teeth. In addition the carding gap can be controlled much better throughout lifetime of the clothing.

Graf will also present new products for the combing process. The X-Comb segments can be used on comb-bodies from other manufacturers and thus makes now the leading Graf technology also accessible in segments. The comb-segments made of steel undergo a special surface treatment, which eliminates the need for a running-in period – production can start immediately. In addition the mounting of the comb segments is fast, easy and secure. As a result the productivity increases. Due to the low weight of the comb-segments combing becomes faster and the energy consumption is reduced.

Graf will have an additional, separate booth in the nonwoven section of ITMA 2015, where it will welcome visitors and clients from the nonwoven industry. The well-known range of products for application in the production of nonwoven articles will be presented. Special emphasis will be on the Hipro-range of metallic card clothings, recently introduced to the industry and well-proven. 




Novibra Introduces New Spindles and Clamping Crowns at ITMA 2015
Improving Performance in Spinning Mills


Novibra, located in Boskovice, Czech Republic, is the leading company in spindle technology and the biggest exporter of spindles worldwide. Novibra will introduce innovative solutions for spinning mills at the ITMA 2015 in Milan. Spindles in modern ring spinning machines reach speeds of up to 25,000 rpm. In these high-speed applications energy consumption is an important issue. Novibra is now introducing the new LENA (Low Energy consumption and Noise Absorption) high-speed spindles. Well proven Noise Absorbing System Assembly (NASA) ensures minimum neck bearing load, vibration and noise level at high speed, and in combination with unique wharve diameter 17,5 mm and footstep bearing 3 mm diameter leads in lower energy consumption. LENA is designed for tube lengths of 200 mm to 210 mm.

Another new product presented at ITMA is the clamping and cutting crown CROCOdoff, which will also be available as the version CROCOdoff-Forte for coarse yarns. The crown is operated by the spindle speed and allows an automatic doffing. The improved design of the “teeth” guarantees a reliable clamping and cutting of the yarn. In addition the CROCOdoff reduces the risk of yarn breakage during start-up, increases energy consumption, minimises material loss and reduces maintenance. CROCOdoff is suitable for the use with new machines as well as an upgrade for some old machines. 





Suessen at ITMA 2015 in Milan
Innovative Compact Spinning System Reduces Cost Significantly



Spindelfabrik Suessen, which was originally founded 1920, offers innovative spinning systems enabling the production of high quality yarn. Suessen will introduce several innovative solutions at ITMA in Milan.

The highlight will be the EliTe®CompactSet Advanced – a compact spinning system with various new features. The goal of the new development was an increased lifetime of many components, such as lattice aprons and inserts and the reduction of maintenance costs. With the flip-over technology for example the housing can be used upside down, because top and bottom parts are identical. Different colours – red and yellow – indicate the two sides. As a result the use of top roller cots can be doubled. Customers benefit from lower costs for maintenance, handling, and alignment. In addition, the top roller cots on the new system have bigger diameters –The lifetime of the larger cots is substantially longer; an improvement in lifetime of up to 165 % is possible.

Suessen will also present various new Premium Parts for rotor spinning machines. The new TwistTrap-Navel has a modified nozzle, combined with a patented twist-retaining element. The TwistTrap-Navel, which is applicable to all types of spinboxes, provides an additional false twist, which results in better spinning stability. The production can increase by 10 % to 15 % due to the possible twist reduction. Another new Premium Part is the PS7 TwinDisc – a support disc with reduced width. The reduction from 10 mm to 7 mm results in less flexing work between rotor shaft and disc. The benefit is a lower energy consumption; savings of up to 11 Watt are possible, depending on the rotor speed. 
